What
will you most likely be doing once you arrive in Turkana?
Historically, the first year of any new missionary family
is spent strictly learning the culture and language. While
we too will devote the bulk of our time learning "turkana"
we expect to spend some time visiting each of the four
clinics and performing some sort of assessments and
evaluation of each.
Our long range goal is to facilitate clinic ownership from
CMFi to the Turkana Churches/villages each clinic serves.
At this point, we really don't have any concrete plans on
"how" to affect such a change. We just want to arrive and
start learning about each one and love on the people God
puts in our path. PLEASE PRAY GOD GIVES US THE NEEDED
WISDOM AND INSIGHT TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS TRANSFER OF
CLINIC OWNERSHIP.
