What a journey we had! Overall it was a good trip, but much
better to be home again. One of the high lights was seeing
Kristi’s new niece on the way home. She was born a couple
of hours before we got to Portland on the way home, so we
stopped for a bit and welcomed her into the world and our
family. She’s a sweet as they come! Congratulations Devin
and Lori! Check out our website for pictures.
WHAT’S NEXT?
January and February, will be busy finishing the house in
preparation for closing and moving out! Rich and Renee
Barbis (the buyers of our house) have listed their house
and we are praying for a quick sale (Lord willing) so we
can be moved out of ours no later than spring break. We’ll
be on the road speaking at different churches as well
during this time.
March 10th-14th,
I Scott, will travel to CMF, Indianapolis, for a week long
training session involving CHE (Community Health
Evangelism). And then April 14th
through May
2nd
will find us in
Colorado Springs for a program called SPLICE. This three
week family training session will equip us further to
handle integrating our family into a third world culture
and all the stressors built into that situation. For more
on SPLICE and what it is, check out this link

DEPARTURE
The school year
ends only 6 weeks after we return from SPLICE and our
planned departure date for Kenya is 22-June-2008! It’s hard
to believe, but June is RIGHT AROUND THE CORNER! Still tons
of stuff to do and not enough time to fit it all in!
KENYA STABILITY
While this is an issue at the moment, with people
postponing trips and the US Government saying to travel
there only if absolutely necessary, we believe that by the
time June rolls around, all will be OK and we won’t need to
delay or change our plans. I have been posting some e-mails
from CMF missionary, Keith Ham, on our site. You can access
those at
www.seidelfamily.org.
It’s under “Kenyan updates.”
We are thankful for your prayers and interest in us and our
work! Please continue to pray specifically for
•
Continued
growth in Christ…”for apart from Me you can do nothing.”
•
The
sale of the Barbis home.
•
Health of our
kids.
•
Peace as we
complete all that we need to do.
•
Peace in Kenya,
and for all the displaced women and children.
Have a great month!
Scott and Kristi Seidel
